As ever, the budget was a constraint on this show. With just under £2000.00, a large stage space in one of London's biggest audience capacity venues to fill, the director and I paired the show down to the four most essential scenic elements that we felt we could not do without.

I took the partially constructed look from photographs of the fledgling communities in 'Indian Territory' at about the time that the show is set. These photographs also informed one of the other key decisions which the director and I reached: No gingham!
