This play was the second in the 2006 Summer Rep Season at the Lyceum Theatre, Crewe. I had to produce four different sets in four weeks, with a day-and-a-half turn around between each show.

The whole play is set in Scardale Hall Health Hydro. I imagined that the hall was originally a grand country house and this provided the inspiration for the classical arches. These were carefully designed so that they could reappear as arches in the Spanish villa required for week four (See Inside Job). I wanted to convey a slightly bland and clinical look to the set so I restricted myself to using green, white and black. The white pitch markings remained on the floor, whatever the location, as a constant reminder that you are there to get fit.
