The
Phoenix Bar. Pre-set state.

The
Phoenix Bar is a loser's bar, inhabited by a collection of lonely
individuals desperately looking for contact. It is described in
the script as a 'seedy theme bar'.
The director and I took the Greek theme from the bar's name and
I deliberately attempted to make everything look as realistic as
possible. I envisaged the kind of place which started as a kitsch
yet complete entity but has been compromised by the ad hoc addition
of replacement furniture and other items. |
